“So let me get this straight” Ji-won said, pointing at the chaotic PowerPoint on the screen “You want to rebrand the entire company because you had a dream about a talking tiger in sunglasses?”
Min-jun seated with legs dramatically crossed nodded like it made perfect sense “He said ‘K Group needs to roar louder’ It was very profound”
The room fell silent
Yoon Seok-ho cleared his throat “Sir maybe we should look at market data instead of dream symbolism”
Min-jun raised an eyebrow “Are you questioning my subconscious creativity”
Ji-won stood up “No We’re suggesting we keep the company from going bankrupt due to tiger-based rebranding”
The team stifled laughter
Min-jun leaned forward flashing that trademark chaebol grin “I like you Ji-won-ssi You’re feisty Ever considered working directly under me”
She didn’t miss a beat “If I worked directly under you sir I’d probably start charging overtime for emotional labor”
Ouch The room collectively inhaled
But instead of getting mad Min-jun just laughed “You’re either incredibly brave or dangerously unemployed”
[Lunch Break Rooftop]
Ji-won plopped down next to Soo-jin holding a half-eaten triangle kimbap
“You know what he said A tiger in sunglasses That’s his vision for K Group”
Soo-jin grinned “At least he’s hot”
“He’s a spoiled chaebol who thinks Google Analytics is a skincare brand” Ji-won groaned “I don’t care how symmetrical his jawline is”
Just then her phone buzzed It was an internal message
📩 From CEO Kang Min-jun
Meet me at 6 pm on the top floor Don’t be late
Your favorite boss 😎
Ji-won stared at the screen
“Did did he just emoji me” she muttered
Soo-jin peered over “Oh girl You’re in deep”
[6 pm Top Floor CEO Lounge]
Ji-won stepped into the luxurious lounge fully expecting nonsense
What she didn’t expect was Min-jun in a plain T-shirt and jeans casually sipping soju
“I needed a break from being CEO-oppa” he said pouring her a drink “You ever feel like you’re stuck in a life you didn’t choose”
She blinked Vulnerability wasn’t in the job description
And for the first time he looked real
“You want the truth” she said “You might be rich but if you don’t stop acting like a drama character you’re going to lose more than a company”
Min-jun smirked “Maybe I need someone to keep me grounded”
She raised her glass “Then wear flats and try a bus ride”
They clinked glasses
