But instead of chaos she walked into complete silence
All heads were down Phones were buzzing Eyes were flicking nervously toward her

Ji-won blinked “Is that a Chanel anklet”
Soo-jin nodded “The rich are so weird”

“Why is everyone acting like I committed murder” Min-jun asked tossing his phone onto the table
Ji-won stood with her arms crossed “You’re engaged Publicly To someone who isn’t aware of our workplace rebranding meetings on rooftops”
“It’s not real” he said quickly “Our parents arranged it It’s for business PR alliances family obligations blah blah chaebol stuff”
“Oh good” Ji-won said dryly “So your whole life is a drama plot”
Min-jun stood up “Look Da-eun and I aren’t a thing She’s not even interested in me”
“Lucky girl” Ji-won muttered
He ignored that “But we have to keep up the illusion for now Please just don’t judge me too hard”
Ji-won sighed unsure what annoyed her more the fake engagement or the fact that it actually bugged her
[PR Department Lunchtime]
Yoon Seok-ho sat across from Ji-won carefully peeling his boiled egg “You okay”
Ji-won nodded “Totally fine Just love it when my CEO has secret heiress fiancées”
Seok-ho hesitated “If you ever get tired of dealing with chaebol nonsense there are other guys Simpler ones”
She smiled “Are you suggesting yourself”
He laughed blushing “Well I make good kimchi stew”
And for the first time Ji-won looked at Seok-ho differently
[Meanwhile Da-eun’s Penthouse]
Choi Da-eun sipped her red wine watching the K Group article trends spike on her iPad
She smirked
“Let the show begin” she whispered
